My name is Jamie McLaughlin and I develop software in Jacksonville, FL. I work primarily with .NET C# and Silverlight but have experience with other technologies:

My goal with this blog is to help new-ish developers gain some experience with varying technologies. One side benefit is that I get to reinforce my own knowledge through teaching. Before I started developing software professionally, I was a 6th/7th grade teacher and taught both Language Arts and Social Studies (I’ve given up being a grammar nazi btw…I agree that grammar is an important part of communication but I think it can be overblown sometimes).
My life revolves around staying fit, happy and healthy. I LOVE development but I know that my family and my sanity come first or else I don’t write clean code!
I love the outdoors and compete in Ironman distance triathlons, endurance mountain biking and many other pursuits.
